Parish Facilities

Cathedral Center
The Cathedral Center is used for social gatherings and some meetings. It is located behind the church. The entrance to the Center is from the parking lot.

This space was originally our Blessed Sacrament Chapel.  During the 1980s the need arose for additional space for meetings and gatherings.  The Chapel was then remodeled into the Cathedral Center

Raphael Rooms
The Raphael Rooms are located in the basement of the Church. They are used for Religious Education classes, Pastoral Council meetings and Committee meetings. Entrance to these rooms is from the lower front vestibule of the Church or from the Cathedral Center.

Cathedral Gardens
The Cathedral Gardens are maintained and dedicated to the memory of those loved ones and parishioners who have gone before us. Memorials to these gardens are live trees, plants and flowers.

Mortuary Chapel
Located in the lower level of the Cathedral, the Mortuary Chapel is the final resting place of several of Dubuque's Bishops and Archbishops.

Bishops Mathias Loras and Clement Smyth are buried here, are as Archbishops John Hennessey, Francis Beckman, Henry Rohlman, Raymond Ettledorf, and James J. Byrne.
