Mission Statement

Preamble
St. Raphael Cathedral Church is a Catholic Community centered in the celebration of Eucharist, guiding its members to grow in and cultivate God's reign of love and justice. Building on the contributions of our predecessors, we accept our mission as baptized Christians, and as members of this Cathedral Parish. We imitate Christ by serving in a special way those who are ill, poor, homeless, elderly, in prison, or in any way on the margins of society.

• The dignity, solidarity and equality of human beings.
• Education and formation for all.
• Respect for all human life.
• Protection for the poor and vulnerable.
• Stewardship of all creation.
• The common good.
• The right of people to be involved in decisions regarding their physical, political, economic, social, cultural and spiritual well-being.

We, the community of St. Raphael, commit ourselves to knowing, celebrating and becoming the mystery of Jesus Christ, through word and sacrament as we reach out in love and justice to all.
