Family Religious Education Program
St. Raphael parish provides a comprehensive program of Religious Education for children in grades one through ten. Jean Leute is the Director of this program and coordinator of youth activities. The Religious Education program for all grades includes instruction in Catholic teaching, spiritual and moral formation, opportunities for shared prayer, service to the community, music and liturgy.

Parents are involved in prayer and family evenings throughout the year. The classes meet in the Raphael Rooms on Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Families preparing for the reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation meet regularly to prepare for these Sacraments.

Tracy Connolly is the catechist for grades 9 and 10 and coordinates the preparation for Confirmation for those grades. Confirmation is celebrated at St. Raphael Cathedral every two years. Students are involved in a two year preparation process before Confirmation, which includes participation by parents and sponsors.

And as learning is a life long process, the Cathedral provides educational opportunities for adults as well.
